Highland 2007 was established to be ‘Scotland’s Year of Highland Culture’. In recognition of the areas dynamic diversity, it is a celebratory year which aims to combine a traditional and contemporary Highland culture in a reflection on the old and a celebration of the new.

Skye and Lochalsh will be hosting a number of events throughout the year to enable both islanders and visitors to join in the Highland wide programme of celebration. Vibrant and compelling projects and events are emerging from community planning to celebrate the arts, environment, heritage, language, science and sport.

Highland 2007 seeks to leave a legacy of annual events, adding to the already inspirational programme. Watch this space for programme developments, dates, venues and news.
